Even though I can't be there on Saturday, you know Shirley is, and always will be, in my heart. We shared 31 years of friendship: this has meaning and value to me that simply not being able to hear her voice and be physically with her can't change or erase. Today there is a "Shirley-shaped" hole in the core of my being - it will never go away. My love and prayers are with all of you, Carole

Susan Lovejoy, January 8, 2010
Although I never met Shirley, she was a friend, mentor,"sister","aunt" to a very good and cherished friend of mine who did know and love Shirley. My heart goes out to all of you who did know and love her so very much. She's now as close to you as your breathing. Peace, Susan

Shirley, my godmother, always had the biggest and most friendly smile. She warned a room when she came in and will always have a special place in my heart. With Love, Rick

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It is so difficult to lose a loving family member and I can only hope that your mom/wife is having some "neighborly chats" with my Dad in a much better place. I'm sure they are watching over all of us.

Sharon Frederick, January 9, 2010
I will remember Shirley as a great lady with an infectious laugh. May time and the loving support of family and friends help to see the Masseth Family through this most difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear of Shrily's passing. We worked together for a long time and she was always the spark of humor that got us through tough times and the model of concern when we needed to hunker down. She was a colleague, a friend and a guide to me. Although I lost touch with Shirley as the years passed she will always have the imprint of her hand upon my heart! Because I knew her, I have been changed for good!

Sheila Favreau, February 5, 2010
Shirley, I know you are still watch over us. You will forever be in my heart. Remember our "days off" when we camped? They were the best Love always. Sheila

I was a RIT student working in Shirley's office back in the 80s. Back then it was called the Office of Special Events. She was my first boss. I remember that she was glamourous & smart. I hoped one day I would be pretty & smart too. I am very sorry that she is gone.
