Grandpa,
We may not have been close to each other in distance or had many an opportunity to spend much time together; however, those short comings in our relationship did not lessen the love and respect that I had for you.
I'm so sorry you never were able to meet your new great grand daughter; Alexis Jean Thompson. She will truly miss out on having someone such as yourself in her life. I promise you though that she will know your name and legacy.
I want to thank you for everything and all the memories that you left. You will never be forgotten and I will always carry your memory with me.
